Nipple bar water source for weaned piglets becoming standard practice.

Writer: AJ O'Mara TeamAJ O'Mara Team

They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery; producers and competitors alike can tell you why our nipple bar is becoming standard practice for pork production.

Hydration.

Weaning piglets can be a stressful time for producers and pigs. Those first few hours and days are crucial. You want to make sure that each piglet gets an opportunity to thrive and grow. That's why we started encouraging producers to provide a secondary water source. Dehydration can play a role in piglet mortality and failure to thrive.

Our nipple bar easily latches to and from your gating, so that you can raise the bar as the piglets grow and remove it from the pen once it's no longer needed.

*Tip: Many producers will just hang the nipple bar from the rafters above the pen for easy access when it's time for a new load of pigs.
